2. Hosting and server logs
When this website is accessed, the hosting provider may process technically necessary connection data, including IP address, access time, requested page, amount of data transferred, and browser and operating-system information. Processing is for delivering the website and maintaining security and technical operation. Article 6(1)(f) GDPR may be a relevant legal basis; the controller must verify and document the legitimate interest and balancing test. Depending on the actual logging configuration, referrer URL, hostname, HTTP status and browser identifier may also be recorded. Confirm the exact data and retention period with IONOS and in the provider settings.
Hosting provider: IONOS (ionos.de). Please confirm the exact contracting entity, address and privacy contact using your IONOS contract documents. Data processing agreement (AVV): shown in the IONOS account as concluded on 13 October 2026; according to IONOS, it has formed part of its General Terms and Conditions since 19 July 2022. Recipients: IONOS and, where applicable, its subprocessors.
3. Language preference
A language selected manually (German or English) is stored in your browser's local storage under the key “gloamforge-locale” so that your choice is remembered on a later visit. If no choice is stored, the browser's preferred language is read locally. This information is not sent to our server. You can remove the stored value in your browser settings.
The purpose is to restore your language choice on future visits. Before publication, verify and document the GDPR legal basis and, where applicable, compliance with Section 25 TDDDG governing storage of or access to information on terminal equipment.
4. Fonts and media
The Lora and Cormorant Garamond fonts and images used on this website are served from our own website. Your browser therefore does not connect to Google Fonts to load these resources.
5. Cookies, analytics and other services
The current project code does not include analytics or marketing tools, contact forms, or embedded YouTube, Spotify or social-media content. The language preference is stored in the browser's local storage. Before publication and after changes, verify whether hosting configuration, extensions or newly added content introduce other cookies, terminal-equipment access or third-party connections.
6. Retention and recipients

8. Encrypted connection
An HTTPS/TLS connection protects data in transit between the browser and website when a valid TLS certificate is used and the website is accessed over HTTPS. Verify that HTTP requests are reliably redirected to HTTPS; the current Apache configuration does not enforce this redirect.
